Government Women’s Degree College Baramulla today celebrated its Annual Day-cum-Harud Festival 2025 with great enthusiasm and vibrant cultural spirit.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
DC Baramulla formally inaugurated the Harud Festival 2025, during which a variety of thematic stalls were installed by students, local participants and other stakeholders. The stalls showcased local crafts, skill products, education-based exhibits and promotional displays, highlighting creativity, innovation and active community involvement.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, presentations and student felicitation segments as part of the Annual Day celebrations, adding colour and energy to the programme.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the college administration, Principal and faculty for organising the event and praised the efforts of the students for their enthusiastic participation. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in nurturing talent, building confidence and promoting academic and cultural excellence. He encouraged students to utilise educational opportunities and contribute positively to society.
Principal Women’s Degree College Baramulla, briefed the DC about the activities and achievements of the institution. They expressed gratitude for the continuous support of the district administration in strengthening academic and co-curricular initiatives.
