To pay homage to slain police officer Farooq Ahmad Mir of Samboora Pampore, a wreath laying ceremony was held in CTC Lethpora area of south Kashmir’s police district Awantipora.
The ceremony was attended by ADGP Syed Javaid Mujtaba Geelani, DIG South Kashmir Abdul Jabbar, SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf, Commandant IRP 23rd Bn, Lethpora Atul Sharma, Principal CTC Lethpora, Tanveer Jeelani, SDPO Awantipora Mumtaz Ahmad, SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDPO Tral and other officers, during which they paid tributes to slain Police officer.
Dead body of Farooq Ahmad Mir of Samboora Pampore SI(M) posted in IRP 23 BN was found in paddy fields near his home. Preliminary investigation reveals that he had left his home for work in his paddy fields last evening,where he was shot dead by mililtants using a pistol: Kashmir Zone Police.
