A tragic incident unfolded in the Behrampora Seloo area of Sopore on Tuesday, as a 33-year-old man lost his life due to electrocution while attempting to fix an electric wire at his residence.
According to officials, the deceased has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Behrampora Seloo. Eyewitnesses said the unfortunate incident occurred when Bilal came in contact with a live wire, resulting in his immediate death.
Local residents rushed to the spot and informed authorities, but he had already succumbed to the electric shock.
The incident has sent a wave of shock and grief through the area. Locals remembered Bilal as a humble and kind-hearted individual.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further proceedings are underway
