Appeals all those whose relatives, near ones are jailed, to approach us

Apni Party General Secretary, Rafi Ahmad Mir on Tuesday said the party has formed two provincial committee’s for J&K prisoner to ensure their early release. He said those whose relatives are detained in and outside jails of J&K come forward and approach the party for legal help.
“Apni Party has formed two committee’s headed by Provincial President Kashmir Zone, Mohammad Ashraf and Provincial President Jammu zone Manjeet Singh who will fetch the details of J&K prisoners from their respective quarters to ensure their early release”, Rafi Ahmad Mir said while addressing media persons at party’s headquarter Church Lane, Srinagar.
Mir said after August 5, 2019 political leaders, stone pelters and other innocent youth were taken into custody however Apni Party tried their best to ensure their release so far. “Those having different political ideology should have been given a space to put forward their opinion in a democratic set up of the country. Also stone pelters and other innocent persons should have been given opportunity to live a respectable life as the situation has changed to a large extent as compare to past”, Mir said.
He said the party has recieved numerous reports from different corners of J&K where people have sought legal help to release their loved ones. “There are many families who doesn’t bear legal expenses in bringing out their kids from jails. The AP has formed two provincial committee’s in this regard and those who want their kids out of prison must approach us so that the party will start proceedings ahead”.
To a query, the Apni Party General Secretary clarified whosoever will approach us will be provided legal help apart from their political ideologies.
Terming the matter “serious” in nature, the AP leader said firstly our committe’s will fetch details of lodged persons from their relatives. Subsequently we will try utmost to meet the jailed person whether they are lodged inside UT or outside J&K. “Recently AP delegation led by president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and apprised him about the matter. The party sought release of all J&K prisoners as a good gesture so that they too start a new journey of their life. The LG assured and sought details of every prisoner so that their cases will be reviewed”, he said.
“We appeal all those who relatives and near ones are jailed either in J&K or outside, to approach us so that the party will take up the proceedings ahead”, Mir added.(KNS)
