“I am humbled and at the same time feel honored to have joined a cadre of distinguished and committed researchers around the world,” he said. “It provides a scientist an opportunity to share my research and thoughts with internationally acclaimed and dignified scientists including more than 200 Nobel Prize winners,” he added.

“Kashmiris are generally intelligent. My humble message to all my brothers and sisters in Kashmir, who are pursuing careers in any branch of science or for that matter any other branch of study, please set your goals and do not stop at graduation or post-graduation, go for Ph.D. and Post-Doctorate and avail every chance of visiting developed countries abroad for obtaining expertise and exposure. Do not be scared of finances, there are lots of scholarships, fellowships, ways and means of funding your studies”, Shah urged.

Shah believes that lack of guidance at a required stage pushes youth to leave their education mid-way which however influences their future badly. I will be always been at the service of my fellow Kashmiris,” he added.(KNS)
