Sopore, Dec 10 :

A class 10th student of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), a resident of Sopore who was missing since December 08, has been traced out by Utter Pradesh Police.

Confirmed this development. Aligarh Muslim University Youth President Zubair Ahmad said that missing Sopore Boy Marsoor Abbas Mir, son of Mohammad Abbas Mir, has been traced to a nearby railway station in UP.

Zubair said that he is absolutely fine and safe and is on his way home from Aligarh.

Pertinently, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti broke this news on Friday.

She took to her microblogging Twitter handle and wrote that Masroor Abbas Mir, a tenth grade student at the Aligarh Muslim University, has been missing since yesterday morning. Please do spread the word about helping his family trace his whereabouts. @aligarhpolice.

However, soon after the update, police in Uttar Pradesh swung into action and within 24 hours had traced the missing youth.
