Delina:In a significant initiative, the EAT RIGHT Club of Government Higher Secondary Institute Delina organized a comprehensive awareness program today.
The primary focus of the program was to educate the community about the critical aspects of food safety and the importance of maintaining a balanced nutrition.
Dr. Showkat, delivering the keynote address, shed light on the role of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in ensuring the availability of safe and nutritious food. Emphasizing the significance of a balanced diet, especially for school-going children, he underscored the pivotal role of FSSAI in safeguarding public health.Senior Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad highlighted the collective responsibility of various sections of society, including families, businesses, and the food safety department, in ensuring the availability of safe and healthy food.
He urged shopkeepers to prioritize offering unexpired food products in the market.Nodal Officer of the EAT RIGHT Club, Mr. Farooq Ahmad, delivered a detailed lecture on the government’s Eat Right initiative and its overarching objectives.
Stressing that a healthy India leads to prosperity, he called upon teachers and students to become ambassadors for the program, emphasizing the importance of public outreach for promoting balanced diets and effective food safety practices in India.
Dr. Haris Hamza concluded the program by expressing gratitude in the vote of thanks.The event witnessed a substantial turnout of students, and notable attendees included HOD Science wing Mr. Bashir Ahmad, Lecturer Chemistry Mohammad Shafi, and PET Bilal Ahmad Sofi, highlighting the broad support for the cause within the educational community.
