BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 09:

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla, in collaboration with the Tehsil Legal Services Committees, has announced that the 4th National Lok Adalat for the year 2025 will be held on 13 December 2025 at the District Court Complex Baramulla and at all Tehsil headquarters across the district.
The Lok Adalat is being organized as part of the Annual Plan of Action and Calendar of Activities issued by the J&K Legal Services Authority to provide accessible, affordable and speedy justice to the public.
In the Lok Adalat, a wide range of pre-litigation as well as pending cases will be taken up for amicable settlement. The categories include cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, bank recovery matters, labour disputes, electricity and water bill issues (excluding non-compoundable matters), and other criminal compoundable, matrimonial and civil disputes. Pending cases before various courts, such as MACT cases, land acquisition matters, rent disputes, easement rights, injunction suits and suits for specific performance, will also be listed for settlement.
The DLSA has appealed to all concerned litigants, parties and advocates who wish to get their disputes resolved through the National Lok Adalat to approach the District Legal Services Authority Baramulla or their respective Tehsil Legal Services Committees on or before 10 December 2025 for registration of their cases.
The Lok Adalat aims to reduce litigation burden and promote peaceful, mutually agreeable resolutions in a time-bound manner.
