As part of the preparations for the 77th Republic Day celebrations, a full dress rehearsal was conducted today at the District Police Lines (DPL), Baramulla.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, unfurled the National Tricolour and took the salute during the march-past, marking a key milestone in the run-up to the Republic Day function scheduled for January 26, 2026. The rehearsal was conducted in a well-coordinated manner, reflecting meticulous planning and coordination among all participating departments.

Students from various schools of the district actively participated in the rehearsal and enthralled the audience with a vibrant array of cultural performances. The colourful presentations highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the region and infused patriotic fervour among the attendees.

Officers from the district administration, police, line departments, participating contingents, students, and staff were present on the occasion. The rehearsal provided an opportunity to review arrangements related to security, protocol, cultural items, and overall conduct of the main function.

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth, dignified, and memorable celebration of the 77th Republic Day at Baramulla.
