Srinagar, June 21:

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) re-exam concluded peacefully across Kashmir on Sunday following elaborate security arrangements at examination centres, officials said.

CCTV cameras and other security measures were in place throughout the valley to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam. Officials told GNS that adequate arrangements helped maintain order and prevent any disruption during the test.

Across India, around 22 lakh students appeared for the re-exam. The Ministry of Telecom had also restricted Telegram services nationwide as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of misinformation and prevent attempts to leak exam material online.

The re-exam was conducted after NEET was cancelled earlier following allegations of a paper leak at several locations across India. (GNS)
