Srinagar, June 27th :

The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday launched a series of search operations across five districts of the Kashmir Valley in connection with an investigation into the alleged misuse of social media.

Sources said the raids were carried out at several locations following intelligence inputs regarding the use of online platforms for activities suspected to be in violation of the law. During the searches, officials examined and seized electronic devices and other materials believed to be relevant to the investigation.

The operation is aimed at tracing individuals allegedly involved in spreading unlawful content through social media and gathering evidence to support the ongoing inquiry. Officials said the investigation remains active, and further legal action will be taken wherever necessary based on the findings.

The CIK reiterated its commitment to preventing the misuse of digital platforms and urged the public to use social media responsibly and in accordance with the law.CNS
