Reasi, Aug 18 :

At least three persons were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down a hill in the Thub area of Reasi district on Tuesday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the vehicle, bearing registration number JK14B-1284, was travelling from Reasi towards Thub when it met with an accident near Thub this evening.

He said the vehicle rolled down the hill following the accident, resulting in the death of three persons.

The deceased were identified as Prem Singh (50), son of Omkar Singh, a resident of Thub; Santosh Devi (48), wife of Prem Singh, a resident of Thub; and Durgi Devi (75), wife of Sarwan, a resident of Jij Bagli.

An investigation has been taken up, while the bodies have been kept at PHC Panassa and will be handed over to the families after completion of medico-legal formalities, he said.—(KNO)
