Srinagar, Aug 18 :
United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, will arrive in Kashmir tomorrow on his maiden visit to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh after assuming office.
Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Ambassador Gor is scheduled to meet Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during his stay in Srinagar.
Gor, who also serves as the U.S. Special Envoy for South Asia and Central Asia, is expected to travel to Ladakh as part of his visit.
U.S. diplomats have also been visiting Kashmir in the past, interacting with different political and non-political groups. In 2024, just ahead of the assembly polls, a U.S. diplomatic delegation met various political leaders during their Kashmir visit—(KNO)
