Focus on intelligence-driven counter-terror operations, naka checking and operational preparedness
Sopore, Sept 13:
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Sujit Kumar, IPS, on Sunday reviewed the prevailing security and law and order situation in Sopore, with particular emphasis on strengthening counter-terrorism measures and operational preparedness.
During the review, the IGP assessed the security scenario and stressed the importance of intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations against terrorists and the wider terror ecosystem.
The meeting also focused on strengthening naka and interception mechanisms to ensure effective surveillance and timely response to security-related developments.
IGP Kashmir directed officers to maintain a high degree of operational readiness and ensure close coordination among security personnel to deal effectively with emerging challenges.
The review underlined the need for sustained vigilance, intelligence gathering and proactive security measures aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring public safety in the Sopore area.(KNC)
