Rajouri, Sept 13 :

Two minor sisters died after being bitten by a snake at Manma Barmari village in the Kalakote subdivision of Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the sisters were sleeping in a room along with other family members when a snake appeared on the bed and bit both of them.

The sisters were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, however they succumbed to their injuries. The deceased were identified as Amiba (5) and Amiza (3), both residents of Rajouri.

Meanwhile investigation has been initiated.—(KNO)
