Srinagar, Sep 20 :

National Conference MLA Javid Hassan Baig on Sunday urged Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi to focus on issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir in Parliament instead of targeting the NC and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Speaking to reporters here, Baig, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the people had given Ruhullah a mandate to represent their concerns in Parliament and that he should use the platform to raise issues affecting Jammu and Kashmir.

“The upset MP Ruhullah has to think that people have not mandated him to be upset. He has to be the voice of the people in Parliament and give a sigh of relief to his people from the House and not destabilise the National Conference and demean Chief Minister Omar Abdullah,” Baig said.

He said Ruhullah should direct his political criticism towards the Centre on issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir. “MP Ruhullah should round up the Modi-led government rather than the National Conference,” Baig said.

Pertinently, Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has earlier said that he would resign from both the Lok Sabha and the National Conference on November 3.—(KNO)
