SOPORE , DECEMBER 19:

To eradicate drugs in Sopore, a road cum talk show was organized by the Acmocare foundation on Sunday.

A young group of students, besides police, councillors, Journalists participated in the rally which was flagged off from Hospital road and ended at Iqbal Market Sopore.

Later a talk show was also held at Girls Higher Secondary Sopore where different speakers spoke on the how to eradicate drugs from the town.

Sadaf Rashid 11th class student who headed this rally while talking with Kashmir Despatch said, “Drugs is not going to help youths at all. They should stay away from it”.

She added that society should not look down on drug addicts; they should come forward and help those people to come out of drug addiction. Also, the police have to play a larger role in eradicating drugs from every place.

“We have a message for all those people who are involved in drugs. The message is that we have one life and do not waste it on drugs. We have already lost so many people to drugs, we do not more people to die”, she added.
