Srinagar, September 2:

In a historic and unprecedented event, the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) held a special oath-taking ceremony at its headquarters today, marking the formal induction of a new wave of members into the party. This significant moment in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape is not just about expanding AIP’s ranks but about embracing a collective commitment to the rights, welfare and honor of the people. The party’s growth is a direct response to the deep-rooted betrayal by the National Conference (NC), whose decades of misgovernance and self-serving politics have led to the dire situation in Jammu and Kashmir today. General Secretary, Prince Parveez administered the oath to new entrants.
The event showcased AIP’s determination to break away from the failed legacies of parties like NC, which has repeatedly failed to uphold the interests of the people. The betrayal of the National Conference, a party that has historically held power but consistently placed its own interests above those of the public, has plunged the region into its current state of uncertainty and despair. In contrast, AIP is emerging as a beacon of hope, dedicated to genuine public service and justice.
The party’s Chief Spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, addressed the press conference, underscoring AIP’s rapid growth and its unwavering commitment to justice and dignity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “AIP is getting stronger day by day. We are committed to standing up for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are respected,” he stated. He further criticized the opportunism of those who have historically held power, pointing out that while they claimed to be detained during the abrogation of Article 370, they were, in reality, enjoying the comforts of luxury hotels. In stark contrast, Engineer Rashid has been languishing in Tihar Jail for the last five years, bravely fighting for justice.
The press conference also featured the introduction of prominent figures who have recently joined AIP, underscoring the party’s appeal across different segments of society. Yasir Reshi, a well-known legislator from North Kashmir and AIP’s candidate for the Sonawari constituency, was formally welcomed into the party ranks. Additionally, Professor of Botany Naseer Ahmad Bhat, who recently resigned from his services to join AIP, was also introduced as a new member.
This event was a powerful testament to AIP’s growing influence and its dedication to its mission of genuine public service. As more prominent individuals join its ranks, AIP is poised to play an increasingly significant role in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir.
Those who were present in the press conference include AIP General Secretary Prince Parveez , Spokesperson Peerzada Firdouse, PAC Chairman Ishtiyaq Qadri, Senior leader Parveez Jamal, Senior Leader Sheikh AshiqPAC Member Peerzada Khursheed , Senior leader Ajaz Ahmad
