At DH Kulgam, a medical officer ‘rules’ entire hospital

Kulgam, Sep 03 :

A medical officer posted at District hospital Kulgam is allegedly trying to rule entire hospital and whosoever objects him from doing so faces the music.

Staff posted at DH Kulgam told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a medical officer (MS orthopedics) who was given a charge of Medical Superintendent for sometime, however, later new medical superintendent was posted is trying to become boss of the hospital.

A staff member who wished not to be named said that a medical officers who hardly attends OPD is just trying to become boss of hospital and he forwards complaint of employee to higher ups, if anyone objects so as to get him transferred.

He is indulging in such activities which are not his domain besides that he tries to keep only those employees in hospital who are supporting him, he said.

He said that despite order from CMO that in absence of Medical Superintendent, Dr Tufail will affairs of the hospital but that order is also thrown in winds and this doctors spends most of his time in office of Medical Superintendent so that he can feed positive things about employees who aren’t objecting him anywhere and negative things about those who aren’t accepting him boss.

Staff members have requested higher ups to look into the matter and constitute a committee to investigate these things on ground after that take action as per law.

Meanwhile Chief Medical Officer Kulgam Dr Rafiq Ahmad Dhobi told KNO that compliants against this medical officer have been already brought in his notice and we working on it to verify them and appropriate action will be taken if found involved.

Will take cognizance of all compliants against him and i have brought it in notice of DC concerned as well and all issues will be investigated after that appropriate action will be taken, he said—(KNO)
