BARAMULLA , AUGUST 13 :
Under the banners of “Meri Maati Meri Desh” and “Veero Ka Vandan Campaign”, the Municipal Council of Baramulla held a momentous event at Bindaas Chowk, Baramulla, paying homage to the heroes who laid down their lives for the nation. The ceremony saw participants holding clay lamps as a symbol of their tribute.
The ceremony was led by DIG North Kashmir Vivek Gupta and Mr. Omar Kakroo, President of the Municipal Council Baramulla, the event witnessed the presence of SSP Bla Amod Ashok Nagpuri, SP HQ Divia D , Zeeshan Khan Tehsildar Wagoora, DSP DR Baramulla, DSP HQ Baramulla, SHO Baramulla, Captain from the Army,Ex President Mc Baramulla, councilors of Mc Baramulla, staff of Mc Baramulla, and representatives from the general public and PRIs.
The scene at Bindaas Chowk was one of national pride, as police personnel and councilors actively participated, waving the Indian flags, symbolizing the nation’s unity and resilience.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Omar Kakroo shed light on the significance of the month-long tribute. “This is more than a ceremony. It’s a reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave men and women, and a reaffirmation of our unwavering commitment to the values they fought for,” he stated.
The community of Baramulla came together in this unique manner to ensure that the sacrifices of India’s bravehearts are remembered and revered.
