In a strong message against harassment and obstruction of tourists, Baramulla Police has arrested eight tourist guides found accosting, harassing and obstructing tourists and6 passengers in the Tangmarg area.
The arrested persons are being produced before the Judicial Magistrate for further course of legal action.
Baramulla Police made it clear that harassing, intimidating or unnecessarily approaching tourists will not be tolerated, and strict action will follow against anyone found indulging in such conduct. The action is aimed at ensuring that tourists visiting Tangmarg and Gulmarg can travel and enjoy their visit without harassment, pressure or inconvenience.
Baramulla Police urged tourists to report any harassment or overcharging immediately, assuring that their safety, dignity and hassle-free movement remain a priority.
