Baramulla: Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh witnessed a powerhouse of strength and collaboration as the District Baramulla Powerlifting Association, in affiliation with J&K Powerlifting Association, joined hands with J&K Students Welfare Organization and Youth Welfare Forum Baramulla to organize a thrilling One-Day Open Deadlift Championship.

The championship, a testament to unity and sportsmanship, drew the participation of prominent figures, each contributing to the event’s success. President of Traders Federation Baramulla Er Tariq Ahmad Mugloo, Chairman BWJA and senior journalist Karamat Qayoom were guests of honour.

While as Majid Rashid Wani, President of Youth Welfare Forum Baramulla, and Advocate Parvaiz Lone were among the key influencers present, exemplifying the community’s strong support for the sporting endeavor.

Mushtaq Ahmed, President of the Powerlifting Association, Shafaq Hussain, General Secretary, along with Danish Ramzan, the Organizer Factory, and Mohammad Shafi Rather, a dedicated member, showcased their commitment to promoting powerlifting in the region.

The championship not only celebrated the raw strength and talent of participants but also highlighted the collaborative spirit that can foster the growth of sports within communities. As the winners were crowned and records were shattered, the event left an indelible mark on Baramulla’s sporting landscape, setting the stage for more such collaborations in the future.
