Baramulla, 04 ,December:

The Baramulla writers forum led by Patron Abdul Rashid Bhat (retired KAS Officer), President Nazir Talib, General Secretary Mushstaq Kirmani and Vice President Anzer Mohju has expressed immense joy upon the joining of Shri Atal Dalloo as the new Chief Secretary of J&K.

Pertinently Atal Dalloo has been the 9th Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla District as he joined on 19 April 1997 and served the district for more than 2 years. Dulloo has succeeded Arun Kumar Mehta, who attained the age of superannuation on November 30, 2023.

Known for his amiable style of functioning, Dulloo is the first J&K domicile to attain the top position in bureaucracy in the Union Territory after 2017, when B R Sharma, another son of the soil, had completed his term as the Chief Secretary.

The Baramulla Writers Forum hoped that the stint of Atal Dalloo at the highest place at the helm of affairs will bring a new dawn in the development of JK UT in general and Baramulla district in particular.
