BARAMULLA, JULY 26 :
The traders Federation
Baramulla strongly reacted to the complaints pouring in against the Government Medical College Baramulla and urged the LG Manoj Sinha led administration to take the appropriate action against the erring administration of the College.
“The complaints we have come across personally and through social media against the administration and the doctors there suggest that there is a complete administrative breakdown. This medical college which also houses the District hospital Baramulla is completely run by junior doctors with the support of interns despite the fact that it is one of the tertiary care hospitals of the valley,” said General Secretary, Traders a
FederationBaramulla, Tariq Ahmad Mugloo.
“Even if they are questioned for the poor health services, they misbehave with the patients and attendants and use derogatory language. This is terrible and the government must fix the responsibility in the hospital for the larger interests of people”.
Mughloo said that not a single HOD and senior doctor is available in the hospital for most of the time and they are operating from home only as per their will.
“We know the government quarters are not ready yet for their accommodation in the hospital premises. But they can hire the rented space somewhere in Baramulla and remain available to serve the people. But what we see is that they are leaving this massive infrastructure on the mercy of interns and few junior doctors and seniors’ doctors along with their HODs enjoy good times with their families at home and at the end of month take fat salaries out of public exchequer”.
