New Delhi, May 12:

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR in connection with the alleged NEET paper leak case following widespread allegations of irregularities in the national-level medical entrance examination.

According to reports, the FIR was registered after the Union Ministry of Education handed over the investigation to the CBI amid growing concerns over the integrity of the examination process. The agency has begun probing allegations related to question paper leaks, cheating, and malpractice linked to the NEET examination conducted across various centres in the country.

The development comes after protests by students and parents demanding a fair investigation into the alleged leak and irregularities in the examination process. Authorities are also examining the role of organised networks and individuals suspected to be involved in the scam.

Officials said the CBI will conduct a comprehensive investigation to identify those responsible and ascertain the extent of the alleged malpractice. Further investigations are underway.(KNC)
