Baramulla:In a momentous convergence of educational leaders and media professionals, Chief Education Baramulla orchestrated a day-long convention in Baramulla, ushering in a new era of educational excellence.

The focal point of discussion – Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 – brought together journalists from across the district to delve into the intricate layers of the education sector’s recent innovations.

While welcoming the guests, Chief Education Officer Baramulla Shri Balbir Singh Raina shed light on the comprehensive objectives of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024. Emphasizing the pivotal role of the education department, he highlighted the monumental strides in infrastructure development. The establishment of state-of-the-art kindergartens, ICT labs, and a cutting-edge digital studio for online lectures stands as a testament to Baramulla’s commitment to providing a dynamic and modern learning environment.

He underscored the district’s commitment to inclusivity by emphasizing the creation of a repository for video lectures. This initiative particularly benefits students in remote areas, ensuring that they have access to quality educational resources on par with their urban counterparts.

While proudly announcing Baramulla’s leading role in Pariksha registrations, Raina highlighted the impressive turnout from students, teachers, and parents. The district’s proactive stance in addressing challenges such as the dropout rate reflects a commitment to ensuring every student’s educational journey is tracked and supported.

In an urgent plea to parents, Raina urged them to enroll their wards in government schools, emphasizing the array of facilities and schemes launched by both the central and state governments. The call to action aims to create a more inclusive and accessible education system, fostering an environment where every child can thrive.

After inaugurating the program, Chairman of Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) Haji Karamat Qayoom expressed profound appreciation for the Department of Education’s proactive approach. While acknowledging the significance of these initiatives, Qayoom underscored the need for continuous efforts for the holistic upliftment of education.

Speakers at the convention, including Zargar Gulzar, President of Baramulla Working Journalist Association, recognized the evolution in the education sector. The integration of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) into Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan marks a significant stride towards streamlining and enhancing the impact of educational programs.
