One more case of mucormycosis reported, case tally at 325,419, death toll stands at 4,408, active cases reaches to 1,330 recovery rate at 98.25 percent

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 31 :

Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday witnessed one death and 166 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,330.

With one more death, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4408 and 166 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 325,419.

Of the exact number of 325,419 cases, 202,396 are from Kashmir division and 123,023 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 166 new cases, 148 belong to Kashmir division while as 18 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 202,396 including 199,142 recoveries and 2,242 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,023 including 120,539 recoveries and 2,166 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,330 including 1,012 from Kashmir division and 318 from Jammu division.

With 99 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 319,681 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 74 from Srinagar, 27 from Baramulla, 21 from Budgam, 06 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora, 02 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 18 from Jammu division include 04 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 05 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 06 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that one fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally reaches to 45.

One covid death was at SMHS Srinagar.

As per officials figures, 72,449 positive cases including 835 deaths and 71,060 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,938 including 282 deaths and 23,518 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,193 including 22,851 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,341 including 15,101 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,243 including 166 deaths and 14,043 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,452 including 16,221 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,638 cases including 9,497 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,125 including 9,998 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,419 including 11,293 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,598 including 5,534 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 53,020 including 51,786 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,380 including 11,237 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,096 including 10,830 recoveries and 235 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,572 including 7,347 recoveries and 130 deaths are from Doda, 9,286 including 9,125 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,136 including 7,012 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,780 including 4,688 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,317 including 6,209 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 5,994 including 5,917 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,442 including 6,388 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 3,226,966 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,042 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,330 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,750,331 persons have completed the surveillance period and 462,855 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,373,127 samples are available. Out of 13,373,127 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,047,708 while as 325,419 have tested positive, among them 1,330 persons are active, 319,681 persons have recovered and 4,408 persons have died—(KNO)
