Calls for coordinated Youth-Centric Action
BARAMULLA, AUGUST 10:
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. S.F Hamid today chaired a meeting of the My Bharat District Advisory Committee (MYB-DAC) to review and deliberate upon the implementation of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) initiatives in the district.
The meeting focused on strengthening inter-departmental convergence, youth participation and effective implementation of youth-oriented programmes under the MY Bharat framework.
The DC stressed the need for coordinated efforts by all concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure meaningful engagement of youth in developmental, social, cultural, sports and nation-building activities.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Pranjal J. Hazarika, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Baramulla, and representatives from various departments and institutions, including Industries, Health, Education, Panchayati Raj, Social Welfare, Information, Employment, Skill Development, NSS, NCC, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Youth Services & Sports and other stakeholder organisations.
The DC emphasised that the MY Bharat platform should be effectively utilised to connect young people with opportunities for volunteering, leadership, skill development and community participation. He called for regular coordination and monitoring so that youth-centric initiatives reach beneficiaries at the grassroots level.
The meeting also deliberated on the role of the My Bharat District Samavay Committee (MYB-DSC) as the executive mechanism for translating the strategic directions of the District Advisory Committee into actionable plans and ensuring timely field-level implementation.
The DC directed the concerned stakeholders to maintain close coordination, prepare actionable plans and ensure regular reviews of progress, with a focus on providing young people with greater opportunities to contribute to the development of the district.
The meeting marked an important step towards building a coordinated district-level ecosystem for empowering youth and channelising their energy towards constructive community engagement and nation-building.
