Baramulla, April 24:
The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, S.F. Hamid, who is also the Chairman of the District Census Committee, today chaired a meeting of officers associated with the upcoming Census exercise scheduled to commence from May 17.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the preparedness for the Census was undertaken, with a special focus on the training being imparted to the manpower deployed for the exercise. The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the quality and progress of the training programmes being conducted across the district.
Emphasising the importance of meticulous planning and execution, S.F. Hamid directed all concerned officers to ensure that every aspect of training and other preparatory measures is completed strictly within the stipulated timelines. He stressed that the success of the Census exercise depends on coordinated efforts, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
The meeting was attended by senior officers and officials involved in the Census operations, who apprised the chair about the ongoing preparations and logistics arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the administration’s commitment to conduct the Census exercise in a smooth, efficient, and transparent manner.
