Baramulla, November 15: Taking swift action over the purported video which was making rounds on social media regarding the unhygienic condition in Paediatric Section of Govt Medical College Baramulla, District Administration under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar took cognisance of the matter and constituted an inspection team to check the veracity of the matter.
A team headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Zahoor Ahmad Raina undertook inspection of the institution and conducted a detailed investigation for revealing the genuineness of the claims levelled.
The district administration was informed that construction/renovation work is currently undergoing in the institution which is being carried out through an outsourced agency. The agency has been issued strict warning to refrain from any such activities that may create any kind of inconvenience to the patients in particular and to the public in general.
Furthermore,it was reiterated that administration has issued strict instructions to maintain sanitation in and around all the health institutions and any kind of laxity won’t be tolerated. General public is also appealed to co-operate with the hospital administration for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene particularly at places of vital public significance.
