The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Dr Mohd Ashraf Durrani, brother in law of PDP general secretary Organisation & former MP Dr Mehboob Beg and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.


In her condolence message, the party President Ms Mehbooba Mufti described Dr Durrani as a noble soul who contributed greatly towards the society, especially the downtrodden.


“My thoughts and prayers are with Dr Beg and other members of the bereaved family in this hour of grief. I pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family,” Mehbooba said. 

Meanwhile, top party leadership of the party including Senior Vice President and former minister Abdul Rehman Veeri,Vice president Choudhary Abdul Hameed, general secretary and former minister Adv Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, former minister Nayeem Akhter Andrabi, former deputy speaker Mohamad Sartaj Madani,former minister Abdul Haq Khan,  former minister Asiya Naqash,former minister Sofi Abdul Gaffar, former minister Syed Farooq Andrabi, former minister Zahoor Ahmed Mir, PDP Chief Spokesman Syed Suhail Bukhari,State secretaries Abdul Hameed Kosheen, and Haji Gh. Mohiuddin Wachi, PAC member and Ex MLA Adv Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, District President Shopian and Ex MLA Ajaz Ahmed Mir, Ex MLA Abdul Majeed Mir, Ex VC Gulzar Ahmed Dar ,Abdul Salam Reshi, Ex VC Haji Parvez Ahmad, Ex VC Dr Ali Mohd,District President Anantnag Adv Sheikh Javed Ahmed, District President Kulgam Malik Mohmad Yaseen, District President Pulwama Adv Baari Andrabi, District President Budgam Mohd Yaseen Bhat, District President Srinagar Abdul Qayoum Bhat, District President Ganderbal Bashir Ah Mir, District President Bandipora Mohd Abdullah Wani, District President Baramulla Jalal uddin Shah, District President Kupwara Mohd Afzal, Additional Spokespersons,Dr Harbaksh Singh, Najmu Saqib, Abdul Rouf Bhat, Mohd Amin Dar, Mohit Bhan, State coordinators Sheikh Gh Mohiuddin, Gh Nabi Panditpuri, Tariq Mohuddin, DDC Member advocate Tasaduq Hussain Veeri,  Media Coordinator Bashir Ah Beigh  have also condoled the sad demise of Dr Durrani and expressed solidarity and sympathies with Dr Mehboob Beg and the bereaved family.


A high level team of party leaders visited the Durrani house 145 Rawal Pora, Sannat Nagar Srinagar and participated in the Nimaz e Jinazah.
