Amid the prevailing situation, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has ordered the closure of all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, in Baramulla, Kupwara, and Gurez on May 8 as a precautionary measure.
The directive also extends to schools in the vicinity of Awantipora and Srinagar Airport, which will remain shut for the day.
Authorities have emphasized that the move is a precautionary step to ensure public safety. (KNS)
