Nowpora, Baramulla, Dec 5, 2024: A heartwarming farewell function was organized today in the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nowpora, Baramulla, to honor the retiring Principal, Altaf Ahmad Masala.

The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of employees from the Department of School Education, reflecting the respect and admiration he garnered throughout his career.

A 1995 Public Service Commission (PSC) recruit as Lecturer in Economics, Altaf Ahmad Masala served the department with dedication in various capacities, including ZEPO Baramulla, Vice Principal GHSS Delina, Principal GHSS Gadole Kokernag, and Head of the Department (HOD) at DIET Kupwara. His illustrious journey culminated in his tenure as Principal of GHSS Nowpora, where he left an indelible mark.

The function began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a soulful Naate Rasool SAW, setting a serene tone for the proceedings. The contributions of Altaf Ahmad Masala to GHSS Nowpora were eloquently narrated by the dynamic stage in-charge, Mohammad Shafi, who captivated the audience with his recounting.

A series of heartfelt speeches followed, shedding light on the multifaceted personality of Altaf Ahmad Masala: Lecturer Dr. Younuspraised his unwavering punctuality despite health challenges.

Senior Lecturer Athar Ahmad reflected on his respectful demeanor and expressed regret for having worked under him for only a short period. Lecturer Jalal ud Din invoked blessings for Altaf Sb, acknowledging his good deeds and resilience during hardships. – Lecturer Subhan Ahmad highlighted his efficiency and quick problem-solving approach, noting his emphasis on timely task completion.

Senior Lecturer Irshad Ahmad Bhatshared a personal anecdote, crediting Altaf Sb for significant support during his career. – Headmaster F. Azad Delinavi described him as a man with a golden heart and announced plans to pen a short story on his life in his upcoming book. – Senior Lecturer Mudasir Kaleem lauded Altaf Sb’s amiable nature, saying no one could ever feel bored in his company. – Senior Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad portrayed him as a gregarious, jolly, and resilient individual with a down-to-earth attitude. Senior Lecturer Ashiq Hussain, in his unique style, commended Altaf Sb’s straightforwardness and emphasized the joy of his companionship.

The event concluded with the presentation of gifts to Altaf Ahmad Masala by the staff members, accompanied by prayers for his speedy recovery and well-being. The retiring Principal was visibly moved by the heartfelt gestures and fond words.

As Altaf Ahmad Masala steps into a new chapter of life, his legacy of dedication, compassion, and leadership will undoubtedly remain etched in the hearts of those he worked with and mentored.
