Srinagar, Sept 16th :
A fatal road accident in the Raj Bagh area of Srinagar claimed the life of a 58-year-old man after an auto-rickshaw collided with a Venue car during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
The impact left the man critically injured, following which he was rushed to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for emergency medical care. Despite efforts, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Abdullah Rehman Dar (58), son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Beerwah, Budgam.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and commenced an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash and fix responsibility, officials said.
