Order Issued by GMC Anantnag to Enhance Patient Care Under JSSK Scheme

Anantnag, May 22 :

In a significant step aimed at improving maternal and child healthcare, the Medical Superintendent of MMABM Associated Hospital, Government Medical College Anantnag, has issued an order directing free diagnostics for pregnant women and children up to the age of one year at M&CCH Sherbagh.

According to the official order a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the initiative will be implemented under the Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) scheme of the National Health Mission (NHM). The directive mandates that diagnostic services for the aforementioned categories will be provided free of cost in the interest of patient care.

“It is pertinent to mention here that due requisitions should be directed to in-charge stores M&CCH from time to time as per the consumption,” the order states.

The move is expected to greatly benefit underprivileged patients and reduce the out-of-pocket expenditure for those availing maternity and child health services at the government facility. (JKNS)
