Prime Minister Terms Examination Paper Leaks a “Grave Sin”, Says Youth’s Future Cannot Be Compromised; Assures Stronger Measures to Safeguard Recruitment and Entrance Exams

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that the Union Government has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards examination paper leaks, describing the malpractice as a “grave sin” that jeopardises the future of the country’s youth. He assured that stringent action has already been initiated against those involved and that every possible step will be taken to ensure transparency and fairness in examinations.
Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, the Prime Minister emphasised that the aspirations and careers of millions of young people are of paramount importance and should never become victims of corruption or criminal conspiracies. He said the government remains fully committed to protecting the integrity of recruitment and competitive examinations.
According to Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who briefed the media after the meeting, the Prime Minister described paper leaks as an unforgivable offence and directed that the strictest legal action be taken against those responsible. Modi also highlighted that the government had acted swiftly after the alleged examination paper leak came to light, leading to the arrest of several accused persons.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the future of the nation’s youth is above politics and stressed the need for a robust and foolproof examination system that guarantees fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for every candidate. He said no individual or network would be allowed to undermine the credibility of India’s examination process.
His remarks come amid nationwide concerns over alleged examination irregularities and growing demands for stronger safeguards to prevent future paper leaks. The Centre has maintained that it remains committed to preserving the sanctity of public examinations while ensuring that those found guilty face the toughest punishment under the law.(KNC)
