BARAMULLA , SEPTEMBER ,17 :

District Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee Baramulla Kashmir strongly condemns the regrettable incident involving Kashmiri students at the campus of Desh Bagat University Punjab.

The President Gurdwara Prabandh Comeete Baramulla lSardar Paramjeet Singh In a statement issued here said ,It is distressing to learn that 25 students, including 22 girls and 3 boys, pursuing paramedical courses, were injured due to police actions during their protest.

The safety and well-being of all students, regardless of their origin, are of paramount importance. It is disheartening that the students felt compelled to protest against the DBU authorities’ alleged clandestine transfer to an unapproved and unregistered college within the campus. Such actions should be addressed through dialogue and proper procedures, not through force.

The people of Kashmir have historically held Punjab colleges in high regard for their safety and educational opportunities. This incident is a stain on that reputation. I urge all relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter, hold those responsible accountable, and take steps to ensure the safety and security of all students in the region.

We must uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and respect for the rights and aspirations of students, and work towards rebuilding trust and confidence in our educational institutions.
