With the aim to strengthen Police Public relations and to hear public, today a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) Meeting was held by Handwara Police at Police Post Langate. The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police Handwara Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS besides SDPO Handwara Shri Fariz Hussain-JKPS, SHO PS Handwara Inspector Parvaiz Ahmad, Incharge Police Post Langate Sub Inspector Shahid Nazir and other officers and officials were also present in the meeting.
The meeeting was attended by the respectables of Langate area including DDC Langate, BDC Chairman Langate, Panchs, Sarpanchs, Members of Trade Federation, Numberdars and Chowkidars who put up various issues of public importance.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairing officer said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and support of people for better Policing and would be conducted in future as well.
He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, SP Handwara assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.
The participants were stressed to cooperate with Handwara Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti national and anti social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
Further SP Handwara seek public cooperation in identifying anti national elements in the area who often try to disrupt peaceful environment especially drug peddlers who have brought youth of the ares towards drug menace.
The meeting concluded with note of thanks and appreciations from public side.
