Heavy snowfall in the Uri sub-division has severely affected road connectivity and power supply, causing major disruptions in daily life. All roads have been blocked due to accumulated snow, making movement difficult for residents.

Taking swift action, MLA Uri, Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri , has instructed key officials, including BMO Uri, BMO Boniyar, Executive Engineer PMGSY, and R&B Uri, to remain alert and not leave their headquarters. He has directed them to ensure immediate response to any emergencies arising due to the adverse weather conditions.

The administration has deployed teams to clear the snow and restore essential services at the earliest. Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors and take necessary precautions while venturing out. Efforts are underway to restore electricity and road connectivity in the affected areas.
