Jammu, January 7 :

Police on Tuesday said that it has registered an FIR against the administrator of the controversial Instagram account of Bhaderwah Confession Page for allegedly defaming many individuals by sharing fabricated and malicious content about their personal lives in Bhaderwah area of Doda district.

In a handout to GNS the police that the action has been initiated following several complaints from victims who alleged that the page had used their names to spread false stories, causing significant damage to their personal lives. Reports indicate that the page has adversely affected the reputation and relationships of many individuals in recent days.

The police spokesman further stated that accordingly on the directions of SSP Doda, an FIR under No. 03/2025 U/S 351(2), 351(3), 351(4) 352, 353 BNS, and 66-D of IT act has been registered at PS Bhaderwah and investigation of the cases has been taken up.

Further it has been said that strict action shall be taken against users who have shared any details with the page’s admin. “Anyone found involved in such activities will not be spared. District Police Doda has urge the public to refrain immediately from the following such pages that thrive or creating controversy and harming individuals’ reputation,” they said, he said.

District Police Doda is actively investigating the case to identify and apprehend the persons behind this activity, reads the statement.(GNS)
