Pledge ceremonies held across all wings, units & districts

Jammu, October 31:

Celebrating the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and to mark the vigilance awareness week, pledge ceremonies were held across Jammu and Kashmir.

At Police Headquarters Jammu, ADGP (Coordination) PHQ, Shri Danesh Rana administered the pledges to the officers and personnel of Police Headquarters, Armed Police Headquarters and Police Telecommunication

IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, Shri B S Tuti, DPT J&K Shridhar Patil, AIG (personnel) PHQ, Shri Ramesh Angral, AIG (P&T) PHQ, Shri Gurinderpal Singh, AIG (CIV) PHQ, Shri Rajesh Kumar Bali, SSP Shri Kulbir Singh, Shri Randhir Singh, SSP Ms Manjeet Kour, other senior officers and staff of PHQ, APHQ, and DPT attended the pledge ceremony.

On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas the officers and personnel took the pledge to dedicate themselves to preserve the Unity, Integrity and Security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among fellow countrymen. The officers and personnel also took pledge to mark the vigilance awareness week in order to promote ethical business practices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity and not to offer or accept bribes. They pledged to adhere to relevant laws, rules and compliance mechanisms in the conduct of business, adopt a code of ethics for all employees, sensitize employees of law, regulations, etc. relevant to their work for honest discharge of their duties.

At Security Headquarters, the ADGP Security, Dr SD Singh Jamwal J&K took the salute and administered the pledge to the Police officers and Jawans.

At Jammu, National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) parade was held at Gulshan Ground Jammu where ADGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh took the salute of the parade and administered pledge to the Police officers and Jawans. Different contingents took part in a colourful march past.

At SKPA Udhampur Shri Garib Dass ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur took the salute and administered the pledge.

In Rajouri, “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” and Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated at DPL Rajouri. The pledge was administered by DIG RP Range Dr. Haseeb Mughal. All officers of district Police Rajouri including SSP Rajouri Sh. Mohd Aslam participated in the event.

In Kulgam, the celebration started with “Run for Unity” from DPL to Sangus, Kulgam followed by a Pledge taking ceremony in which all the officers/officials of DPL and school students pledged to preserve the unity and Integrity of the Nation and dedicate themselves for the country. SSP Kulgam Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy administered pledges to the participants.

In Awantipora, the main function of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas parade was held at DPL Awantipora where SSP Awantipora Shri Mohd Yousif took the salute on Parade and read out the pledge.

In Pulwama, the function was held at DPO, DPL Pulwama and all Police Stations of the district where the contingents of J&K Police/ Armed Police & Home Guard took the pledge for Unity, Integrity and Security of the Nation. SSP Pulwama Shri Gh Jeelani Wani administered the pledge to the Police Officers/Officials.

In Baramulla, an impressive parade by the contingents of District Executive Police was conducted. Incharge SSP Baramulla Sh. R. K. Parihar took the salute at the March past and administered pledge to all the participants at DPL Baramulla.

In Sopore, the main function was held at District Police Lines Sopore in which all the participants present pledged to preserve the unity and Integrity of the Nation & promised to strengthen & preserve the National Integration and dedicate themselves for the country.

In Handwara, Police celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across the PD. The main function was held at DPL Handwara where SP Handwara Ms Sheema Nabi took the salute of the parade and administered pledge to the police officers, officers of various CAPFs and jawans.

In Bandipora, Police celebrated National Unity Day ” Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The main event was organised at DPL Bandipora. On this occasion SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmad Zahid administered Unity pledge to all ranks of district police Bandipora.

In Budgam, Police celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) at all police establishments of District Budgam. The main function was held at DPL Budgam where SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem took the salute of the parade and administered pledge and Integrity pledge to the police officers and Jawans.

At RPHQ Anantnag, “National Unity Day” and “Vigilance Awareness Week” has been organized by RPHQ Staff Anantnag within the lawns of office Complex. Shri Gh Hassan Bhat –DySP Staff officer to DIG SKR and Sh. Showkat Ahmad DySP Pvt Secy to DIG led the Staff while pledging pledge for both the occasions.

At ZPHQ, Kashmir “National Unity Day” and “Vigilance Awareness Week” has been organized by ZPHQ Staff. The pledge was administered by Dy SP Nisar Ahmad Masoodi to the participants.

In Ganderbal, Police today celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across the District. The main function was held at DPL Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar took the salute of the parade and administered pledge to the police officers and Jawans.

In Srinagar, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was administered in all the units of Srinagar police under supervision of respective unit heads.

In Kupwara, SSP Kupwara Shri Yougal Manhas administered Unity pledge to all ranks of district police Kupwara.The participants took the pledge for Unity, Integrity and Security of the Nation.

In Kishtwar, “Rastriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) was celebrated at District Police Lines (DPL) Kishtwar. SSP Kishtwar Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt took salute on parade and administered the pledge.

Doda District Police celebrated Rashtriya EKTA DIWAS on the 147th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the iron man of India. The main function was organized at DPL Doda in which contingents of District Police Doda, CAPF participated in the parade. On this occasion, SSP Doda Shri Abdul Qayoom administered the pledge to officers/jawans of District Police Doda. A Marathon RUN FOR UNITY was also organized by District Police Doda to celebrate the 147th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the iron man of India.

In Samba, Police celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” at the District Police Office, Samba, District Police Lines, Samba & all other Police subordinate units. The main function was organized at DPL Samba where SSP Samba Dr. Abhishek Mahajan administered the pledge.

At Kathua, a Pledge taking ceremony was organised at District Police Lines Kathua in which Sh. R C Kotwal, SSP Kathua along with other Police officers/officials participated.

In Udhampur, “Run for Unity” was organised to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas wherein a large number of volunteers including school children, police personnel of District Udhampur participated in a run for unity for the unity and integrity of the nation. Dr. Vinod Kumar SSP Udhampur flagged off the “Run For Unity” from Martyr Chowk (Domel) Udhampur which culminated at District Police Lines Udhampur.

In Reasi on the eve of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas“ District Police Reasi organised “Run for Unity “ Mini Marathon from Gran Morh to Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi. The event was flagged off by Sh Amit Gupta SSP Reasi.

Police Hospital Jammu celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to mark the vigilance awareness week .

Superintendent of Police Hospital Dr Meenakshi Kotwal administered the pledges to all the doctors and staff of the hospital present on the occasion to preserve the unity, integrity, sovereignty and security of the Nation.

The events were held in other JKP’s Unit, District and Wings headquarters where concerned police heads administered the unity pledge.
