A local court in Srinagar has directed SHO Shaheedgunj to conduct an inquiry against the incumbent deputy Mayor Srinagar, Parvaiz Qadri in a criminal complaint.
The Court of Judge Small Causes Srinagar in an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), directed the SHO to conduct an inquiry after the former deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran filed a criminal complaint against Qadri.
“I have gone through the contents of the complaint and perused the statement recorded. In order to ascertain whether there is sufficient ground to proceed in the complaint. I deem it proper to direct an inquiry,” the court observed.
It stated that accordingly, SHO Police Station Shaheedgunj Srinagar is directed to conduct an inquiry and submit a report by or before the next date of hearing.
Notably, the next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on November 17—(KNO)
