Srinagar, Aug 9 :
A man accused of attempting to murder his son has been arrested in Sonawar locality of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
The accused identified as Mehmood Ahmad Wani, son of Nazir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Sonawar Srinagar, as per a police official, stabbed his son (name withheld) after a heated argument.
The victim was soon after evacuated to a nearby hospital, where his overall condition is said to stable, the official told GNS.
“We have registered an FIR under 121/2023 under section 307 of IPC against the accused”, the official said adding the weapon of offence has also been recovered at the site.(GNS)
