Thousands converge at revered shrine; procession marked by prayers, Durood-o-Azkar

A massive Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) rally culminated at the revered Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar on Thursday, as devotees from different parts of Kashmir converged at the shrine to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with religious fervour and devotion.
The grand procession witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees, including religious scholars, students, youth, elders and children, who joined the rally from different areas of the Valley and proceeded towards Hazratbal.
As per details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), separate processions were taken out from Nagbal in Ganderbal, Harwan in Srinagar and Soibugh in Budgam, besides other parts of the Valley, with the rallies converging at Dargah Hazratbal.
The programme was organised by the Muttahida Ulama Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Jammu and Kashmir.
As the processions moved towards the Hazratbal shrine, devotees recited Durood-o-Azkar and Naats and raised religious slogans, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere along the routes.
The procession culminated at Dargah Hazratbal, where devotees offered prayers and paid obeisance at the revered shrine, which houses the Holy Relic believed to be of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The gathering also featured addresses by religious scholars, who highlighted the life, teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his teachings of peace, compassion, brotherhood, humanity and mutual respect.
The administration had made elaborate arrangements ahead of the observances in view of the large number of devotees expected at Hazratbal.
