Baramula Police booked Notorious Drug Smuggler and Ward Member of Municipal Committee Pattan namely Barkat Ali Mian @ Raja of Mian Mohalla Pattan under PIT-NDPS Act
Police Sources told CNS Acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Baramulla Police booked notorious drug smuggler namely Barkat Ali Mian @ Raja S/O Mohammad Maqbool Mian R/O Mian Mohalla Pattan under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.
The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu.
Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against the drug Smuggler and was involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Pattan and other areas of District Baramulla, Despite his involvement in many FIR’s they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
General public of Baramulla appreciated the role of Police for their action against drug peddlers. Baramulla Polive consistent actions against the drug peddlers should reassure the community members that Baramulla police is making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse.(CNS)
