KUPWARA, JUNE,15 :
On an input that person was trying to find purchasers for heroin a trap was laid by JKP and Army in Karnah and 2 persons were apprehended with approx 500g heroin – (1) Shafeeq Ahmad Sheikh S/O Late Mohd Shafi Sheikh R/O KhawarparabKarnah
(2)Tariq Ahmad Malik S/O Gh. Ahmad Malik R/O Baghballa.
Further investigation revealed presence of 3 pistols with one Parvez Ahmed Pathan r/o Sadhpura.
Immediately Parvez was apprehended in a joint raid by JKP and Army and 3 pistols, 76 pistol rounds, 6 pistol magazines and approx 5kg suspected explosive was recovered from his possession.
In this regard FIR is registered and further interrogations and investigation is ongoing.
