‘The day we are buried, Kashmir will be buried, Article 370 will be buried’

National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday said his party is an integral part of the INDIA bloc and will “certainly participate” in the opposition alliance meeting scheduled for June 8.
Speaking to reporters here, Dr Abdullah, as reported by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said either he or Chief Minister Omar Abdullah would attend the meeting on behalf of the party.
“Omar and I—one of us will go. Obviously, we are part of that. We will be there,” he said.
The NC chief reiterated his party’s stand on Article 370, saying its fate is closely tied to the aspirations and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “The day we are buried, Kashmir will be buried, Article 370 will be buried,” Dr Farooq said.
The former chief minister’s remarks came days after the National Conference announced plans to hold a protest in New Delhi during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, seeking restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and raising demands for constitutional safeguards—(KNO)
