Baramulla, June 17 :

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached an immovable property belonging to an arrested accused in the Kanispora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the attached property belongs to Shaheen Ahmad Lone, son of late Nazir Ahmad Lone, and comprises 7.5 marlas of land under Survey No. 1192 situated in Kanispora village of Baramulla.

They said the property was attached under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in connection with NIA case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU.

The attachment was carried out following an order issued by the Special NIA Court, Jammu, on April 30, 2026, officials said.

Shaheen was earlier arrested by the NIA in an alleged illegal arms case and is presently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi, they added—(KNO)
