“`Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 3 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Kanispora-Singhpora Crossing, intercepted three persons identified as Aqib Salam Bhat son of Abdul Salam, Yasir Ahmad Bhat son of Fayaz Ahmad both residents of Sherwani Colony Khawajabagh & Simranjeet Singh son of Late Parminder Singh resident of Singhpora Kalan Baramulla. During search, 30 grams of contraband Brownsugar like substances was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where they remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.
