December 21: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
On specific information, a police party of Police Station Kulgam established a checkpoint on Okay Road. During checking a suspicious person, who on noticing the police party tried to flee from the spot, was apprehended tactfully. He has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Padder son of Ab Majeed Padder resident of Okay Kulgam. During search, officers were able to recover 75 grams of Charas, 400 grams of Cannabis Powder & 200 grams of dried Cannabis leaves from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR number 254/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Kulgam and investigation has been initiated.
